What it does
Brazing a joint an inch from a stud scorches the stud. This shield clamps onto the torch nozzle and stands between the flame and whatever is behind the pipe.
It is 304 stainless steel. The plate bends by hand, so you can centre the flame on the joint, and the bracket slides to match the flame length.

Good to know before you buy
- The torch is not included.
- It fits most turbo-style nozzles. Check the clamp against your tip first.
- The plate gets hot. Let it cool before you touch it.
