What it does
The blade on this cutter comes to a point. The point enters the pipe wall first, so the cut starts with less hand force and the pipe is less likely to squash.
The ratchet sits low, under the blade, and holds each step so the handle does not spring back.
Good to know before you buy
- The blade is stainless steel, softer than the SK5 on our other cutters.
- For plastic pipe only.
- Keep the cut 1.5 inches from the pipe end for a square face.

Great value and easy to use. It works.
As described. This works without issue. If you are going to cut some PVC, I would recommend this tool. Much better than a saw or knife. It cuts clean edges with very little effort, and it is very easy to cut to an exact length. The only negative observation I have about it is that it feels like it might not be built for heavy-duty use.
